Dolors Barberan
Hello, I'm Dolors Barberán, welcome to this page where you can see and, if you wish, purchase some of my works.
I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. As soon as I finished high school, I enrolled at the School of Arts and Crafts in Tarragona, where I graduated in Painting Techniques. There I learned to paint with acrylics, oils, pastels… and a solid foundation in drawing.
I combined my office job with painting for years, while continuing my training by taking courses with internationally renowned painters, especially watercolorists, until I was able to dedicate myself exclusively to painting and teaching other people to paint, an activity that has fulfilled me and that I continue to practice.
My favorite technique has always been watercolor, although I paint a lot in other media; I always end up coming back to it. And although I paint landscapes, seascapes, still lifes… my favorite subject is the human figure, especially portraits, whether in watercolor, oil, or acrylic.
